FAQs
Why us
-
We blend clinical expertise with compassion, humor, and a no-TMI approach. Our sessions are intentional, personalized, and built around your goals—not a checklist. You’ll leave with tools that actually make sense for your day-to-day life and a long term health care provider partner.
-
We primarily support women navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic health concerns that show up in daily life and exercise. A lot of women see Nikki after months (or years) of chasing hip, back, or SI joint pain with other providers, only to find the real source is pelvic floor dysfunction. That’s where Nikki’s whole-person approach makes the difference.
Getting started
-
Pelvic floor physical therapy is specialized care for the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that support your bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs. At The Fem Method, we combine expert assessment with whole-person strategies to help you regain strength, reduce pain, and reconnect with your body.
-
In Texas, you can see a pelvic floor physical therapist directly for the first 30 days—no referral required. After that, state law requires a referral from a physician or other qualified provider if you’d like to continue care.
-
Your first session is a deep-dive. We’ll talk through your health history, current symptoms, and goals. From there, we’ll do a gentle assessment—which may include an internal exam if appropriate and if comfortable—and outline your personalized plan. You’ll leave with clear next steps and practical tools you can use right away.
-
Initial evaluations are 60 minutes. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes, giving us plenty of time to address your questions, reassess, and make progress.
-
You’re not alone. Most of our clients come in with some hesitation. We create a space where nothing is “too much information” and your comfort is always the priority. We’ll move at your pace, explain everything clearly, and check in often so you feel safe and supported.
What we treat
-
From managing back or hip pain to preparing your body for delivery, we help you move with more ease and confidence during pregnancy.
-
Whether you’re weeks or years postpartum, we address concerns like leaking, painful sex, core weakness, and diastasis recti—so you can feel connected to your body again.
-
We treat issues like prolapse, pressure, or discomfort with exercise and daily movement, always tailoring care to your specific goals.
-
Because pelvic health doesn’t exist in a vacuum, we also look at how your hips, back, and core are working together—helping you build strength and reduce pain in the long run.
